Revised Summer Retreat 2007
Before dawn on Friday, August 3rd, Split Tree Farm Studio and Farmhouse suffered a devastating fire, a tremendous loss to the dance and arts community. Fortunately, owner Sid Hetzler (owner) and his sister were safe, as were horses and dogs.
Of course, the Nia Summer Retreat went topsy turvey, but we managed to weather the chaos and have a relaxing and fun "mini retreat". Friday evening, we belly danced with Kristin Diver in Decatur, and Sat. morning, a group of determined "retreaters" headed to Clayton, GA for a day-long retreat at The Center On Warwoman. One thing is for sure, Nias are
flexible!
Here are some photos of the day in Clayton!

Fall Renewal Retreat 2006
The
Fall Renewal Retreat to Gray Bear Lodge was truly amazing, and we had it all to ourselves. Nature presented us with clear skies, warm sun and new friends to share Nia! Participants came from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky to Relax and Renew!
Our hosts, Adam and Dianne, 'walk their talk', honoring and preserving the natural beauty of the land, nurturing us with wonderful meals, cozy warm fire and conversation. This was their first introduction to Nia - and they loved dancing with us! What an energy boost - some movers and shakers for sure!!
Don't miss the next retreat - hopefully in the late Spring.
